RIDE  THE   V&T R.R.

The below videos will spark a few fond memories for the many that have ridden the new V&T R.R.  For those who have not yet taken a ride on this historic mode of transportation, when visiting in the Western Nevada area, we strongly recommend the side trip.   This narrated round trip  will take you from Virginia City to the Gold Hill depot passing historic old mine ruins along the way.  Remember, our camera cannot fully capture the total experience that awaits you there.

Future Operations:

Now then, if someone had mentioned to you, that someday, the Virginia and Truckee Railroad might once again provide passenger and freight service between Carson City and Virginia City, you would probably reply by saying, "Imagine that"!     Imagine, heading down the original right of way towards Nevada's Capitol City!   Imagine, passing the old historic mill sites of the 1800's as you follow the Carson River through Brunswick Canyon! Imagine, someday hearing the V&T R.R. conductor chanting " Now departing for Gold Hill and Carson City, All Aboard". The V&T road exspansion project has been under consideration for quite some time.  To see how you can help out to make the exspansion dream become a reality, please visit:   http://www.steamtrain.org...............Just imagine, that oneday, we might all be saying, "Well I'll Be Dawged"! The below video is very large in size, but to the avid V&T fan, it is well worth the wait!  Imagine, next stop.........
