Merriwether Lewis Stern Wheel Logging boat / Steam era tugboats like our split stern wheel Columbia River logger, played a crucial role in the growth of the lumber industries in British Columbia and in the United States Pacific Northwest.  These small vessels towed log rafts and heavily laden log barges from far upriver, to the sawmills and harbors along the way.  Our waterline craftsman kit is geared for the more experienced model builder.  The kit is loaded with highly detailed resin castings, decals, and numerous metal detail parts.   Overall size is 3-1/4" {23 scale feet}  x  14" {101 scale feet}.   If desired, the instructions show how the vessel can be shortened by approx. 17 scale feet.  Resin - Metal kit.  ~Coming Soon~

Columbia River Logging Tow Barge / Use with item no. 129 or any HO scale vessel.   The wood sided tow barge kit is one piece resin casted with metal detail parts.   The kit also includes / front & rear deck details /  wood logs to make a three row tri-level load, 55" brass tie down chains. Overall barge size {without the overhanging logs}, 1- 7/8" {approx. 13 scale feet}  x  17" {approx. 123 scale feet}, this craft can be easily shortened, if desired, and will also accept other types of loads as well. .   Resin - Wood - Metal kit.
